The Spoon of Power
The snake is a power symbol but in the same time known as the protector spirit of the house, or “the one who defends the citadel’s gates”
Also the flag of the Dacian people used to be represented by a snake (or dragon). It’s head was made with iron, and the rest was made of leather. This way, when the wind was blowing in the dragon’s mouth, it would sound like a wolf howling. That would discourage the enemy, and scare the horses that weren’t used to the sound.

The owl is the symbol of wisdom because she can see where people are not able to see.
In the lower part of the spoon you can find the water symbol, and the diamond shapes represent the earth or fertility. -
The Lovers Spoon
In the old times, at the beginning of spring, people used to celebrate “Dragobetele” (Lovers’ Day, the “Engagement of the Birds”, the Wedding of All Animals - similar to Valentine’s day).
So, on Dragobete day, young women and men meet to ensure that their love will last the entire year, like the birds who get “engaged” on this day.
It is the moment when the nature renews itself, birds build their nests, and people, especially the young, harmonise with nature.
